It’s a cracking day today. I hiked up the 500 m behind the house and had a brilliant 360 view of Hong Kong.
Including the Airport, Tuen Mun, Central, Lamma Island, Cheng Chau and lots of islands beyond that which i don’t even have the names of.
Unfortunately I didn’t not bring anything with a lens so I just grabbed this webcam image from HK tourism board website.

Another clear day today - low pollution levels. Hong Kong used to look like this every day 10 years ago. Economic success often comes with environmental destruction, and that is quite obvious in this region.
Awareness of the need for ‘cleaner’ means of production and sources of energy has increased in the last 18 months. Next step is to see this progress into some clear action plans for improvement - not just in Hong Kong, but across the whole region.

The last few weeks the weather has been incredibly clear in Hong Kong.
After having spend most of the last year under a blanket of smog and with equally dull an grey weather, clear skies seem to be all that Hong Kong is getting now. It seems that at least the weather gods turned favourable to Hong Kong after tough times in terms of health and economy in the last few months.
At least all this perfect weather has one good effect on me: it makes your day feel better!
Happy working all this week
Marc
